As an Abstract Expressionist artist, I draw my deepest inspiration from the stark, untamed beauty of my homeland, Iceland. The dramatic landscapes, with their raw, elemental forces, evoke a sense of the sublime that I strive to capture in my abstract creations.

My journey began with a profound connection to nature and a desire to translate its immense beauty into art. Painting feels like something is blossoming inside me—an empowering experience like no other. This passion drives me to explore various techniques and materials, allowing texture and form to emerge organically, much like the natural processes that inspire me.

I collect and use recently erupted Icelandic lava rocks, symbolising the earth’s raw power. Knowing these rocks were molten lava in the earth’s core just a short time ago brings a sense of purity and phoenix-like resurgence, adding depth and authenticity to my creations.

Through my work, I strive to bring a touch of Iceland’s wild beauty into homes and hearts, celebrating the intersection of nature and artistic expression.
